PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Toni provides the full range of employment law services to private employers, including advising in the areas of sexual harassment prevention, wage and hour law compliance, discipline and termination matters, leaves of absence and ADA issues, employment and other related agreements, managing allegations of discrimination and retaliation. Toni drafts and reviews human resources-related policies, forms, agreements, and other documents, and assists companies with auditing their own employment law practices.

She also delivers training programs to managers and employees on the following topics:

In addition, Toni has significant experience with drafting and implementing a business conduct program, including drafting and enforcing policies and developing and delivering educational materials on business ethics. Toni assists clients as they develop new programs, and as they extend and apply programs to many locations, including international locations.

Toni's comprehensive employment law practice also covers managing employment law-related aspects of acquisitions and divestitures, and managing international employment law disputes, policies, and other matters.

Prior to joining the GCL, Toni was the principal in-house employment law counsel for ADC Telecommunications, Inc., headquartered in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. She also practiced employment law for several years with the Minneapolis law firm of Briggs and Morgan, P.A

Since 1995, Toni has served and continues to serve as an adjunct instructor at William Mitchell College of Law.

In addition to Toni's legal career, she is founder and president of Fun with Law, a company working within the legal industry to make the serious aspects of law more fun. Trained in comedy and improv, Toni provides customized training, improvisation, customized music and comedy entertainment, and meeting or event facilitation services. Fun with Law delivers "Think on The Spot! " seminars for lawyers and other professionals who want to improve their listening, thinking, speaking, teamwork and presentation skills. Toni also offers a unique program, Teambuilding for Lawyers, designed to build strong legal teams to increase the effectiveness of each individual, boost creativity and enable new solutions to emerge. Toni Halleen has been performing improv comedy in the Twin Cities for over 10 years, and has combined her talents into a fresh, fun approach to professional development services for lawyers and other professionals. Toni's improv and sketch comedy company, Three Months To Live, has performed live throughout the Twin Cities.
